Terrell Electric / Solar Planning

Your location.
Your solar possibilities.

Find your site, enter your electricity use, and explore preliminary solar PV sizing and modeled production.

Step 1 / Find Your Site

Where is your project?

Address lookup sends this address to the U.S. Census Geocoder.

This stage evaluates preliminary PV capacity and production only. Installation pricing, utility-bill savings, and financial return are not yet calculated.

Solar Hot-Water Planning

Put sunshine to work heating water.

Start with your daily hot-water needs, existing equipment, and proposed collectors. This assessment is separate from solar electricity.

1. Property and existing equipment

Submitting sends this address to the U.S. Census Geocoder. The location is recorded for project review; no climate model is run here.

2. Daily hot-water demand

Enter average daily water use, not the tank's capacity. Use the temperature of the water represented by this volume.

This is a planning goal, not a predicted solar contribution. Entering temperatures does not establish safe tank or delivery-control settings.

3. Proposed collectors — optional

Use the collector-area basis specified by the manufacturer for sizing. Gross area and aperture area are not automatically interchangeable. Leave both fields blank if equipment has not been proposed.

Domestic hot-water planning only. Supplemental space heating and process heating need separate load and system assessments. Nothing is emailed automatically.

Skystream 3.7 / Wind Planning

Explore wind energy for your property.

Start with the proposed location and tower. If applicable hub-height wind information is available, explore a reference annual-energy scenario for one Skystream 3.7 turbine.

An address lookup does not measure wind. Do not enter a weather-app reading, a gust speed, or an unadjusted nearby airport wind speed as the annual-average wind at turbine height.

1. Proposed site

Submitting sends the address to the U.S. Census Geocoder. It does not retrieve wind data.

2. Optional wind-energy scenario

Leave the wind speed and reduction fields blank if the resource has not been assessed. The page will return the matched site without inventing an energy estimate.

Enter a documented allowance for additional project effects, or enter 0 explicitly to view the unadjusted reference scenario. This is not an automatic correction for turbulence, elevation, air density, downtime, or electrical losses. Avoid double counting effects already represented in your source assumptions.

Generac / Backup Power Planning

Plan the loads you want protected.

Build a preliminary electrical-load inventory for a residential standby-generator assessment. Select the equipment you want operating during an outage and enter its equipment-specific wattages.

This independent Terrell Electric planning tool is not Generac's official sizing calculator. It does not select a generator model, verify an installation, calculate fuel demand, or provide an installed price.

1. Property and backup preference

Submitting sends the address to the U.S. Census Geocoder. Location matching does not verify fuel availability or installation suitability.

These preferences do not automatically add or remove electrical loads. Include every load you want represented in the calculation below.

2. Selected simultaneous loads

Select only the equipment included in this scenario. All selected units are assumed to run together, with one unit starting at a time. Quantities should group identical equipment only.

Enter running watts and total starting watts per unit from applicable equipment documentation. Starting watts means the total during startup, not just the additional surge. For a load with no extra starting demand, enter its running watts in both fields. Blank values are not treated as zero.

Amps, locked-rotor amps, VA, and watts are not interchangeable. If starting watts are unknown, request professional review rather than entering a guessed value.

Notes are not included in the wattage totals. Do not include sensitive medical information. Nothing is emailed automatically.
