Understanding these terms
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service describe the intended use of the Terrell Electric, LLC website and provide general information about service requests, planning tools, payments, and memberships. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Terrell Electric, LLC.
A specific project, purchase, or membership is governed by the terms presented and accepted for that transaction, including any estimate, work authorization, project agreement, warranty, or subscription agreement.
Website information is not a work authorization.
Viewing this page, completing a calculator, or submitting an inquiry does not by itself authorize electrical work, establish a fixed project price, confirm an appointment, or enroll you in a paid membership.
2. Responsible website use
Use our website, forms, and planning tools for legitimate inquiries and authorized planning. Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- Do not impersonate another person or submit another person’s private information without appropriate authority.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, interfere with website operation, or evade security controls.
- Do not use forms to send unlawful content, fraudulent requests, or unsolicited advertising.
- Do not authorize work at a property unless you have the authority to do so.
We may limit access or reject submissions associated with misuse, security risks, or interference with website operation, subject to applicable law.
3. Service requests and scheduling
Website forms provide a way to request information or discuss service. A request is not a confirmed appointment until Terrell Electric confirms it.
Scheduling depends on the work involved, technician availability, location, access, weather, equipment availability, and safe working conditions.
Notify us promptly if you need to change an appointment or if access conditions change. Any applicable cancellation, dispatch, travel, or minimum-service charges must be disclosed through the relevant estimate, booking process, or service agreement.
Membership does not guarantee immediate response, round-the-clock staffing, or priority over an active safety emergency.
4. Estimates, scope, and authorized work
Project scope, pricing, payment requirements, permits, responsibilities, and scheduling are established for the particular job.
Preliminary website figures and planning results are not binding installation quotes. An onsite assessment may be required before equipment, material quantities, routing, site preparation, and installation costs can be determined.
Unexpected conditions or requested changes may require a revised scope or price. Additional work is subject to authorization under the applicable agreement.
Project-specific warranties, exclusions, deposits, payment milestones, and cancellation terms are stated separately. Nothing on this page replaces an accepted warranty or a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
Educational planning
5. Energy and backup-power tools
Our planning tools provide preliminary scenarios based on user inputs, stated assumptions, reference data, and the methods described with each tool.
Results are not engineering designs, electrical code calculations, utility approvals, guarantees of savings, or final equipment recommendations.
Solar photovoltaic planning
Solar production and financial results depend on conditions such as shading, orientation, equipment, weather, utility rates, interconnection requirements, and available programs. Verify project-specific assumptions before making a purchase decision.
Solar hot-water planning
Hot-water planning requires evaluation of demand, equipment integration, tubing routes, installation conditions, and supplemental heating. Website calculations do not establish a final installed price or guarantee that a system will meet all heating needs.
Skystream wind planning
The wind calculator uses the reference energy table and operating assumptions identified with the tool. It requires appropriate annual-average wind information at the proposed turbine hub height.
An address lookup does not measure wind. The calculator’s supported input range is a limitation of the reference calculation, not a determination of whether equipment can operate at every other wind speed.
Generac backup-power planning
Generator planning uses the loads and starting requirements entered by the user. A running-load total or one-motor-starting scenario is not an automatic generator selection.
Final selection requires review of actual equipment data, starting performance, fuel-specific output, load management, transfer equipment, service arrangements, and installation conditions.
Verify before purchasing or installing.
Have a qualified professional evaluate site conditions, applicable requirements, equipment compatibility, and the proposed installation before relying on a preliminary website scenario.
6. Safety and emergencies
Website information is not a substitute for qualified electrical work or emergency assistance. Do not use website forms as an emergency dispatch channel.
For fire, smoke, a sounding carbon monoxide alarm, or another immediate life-safety emergency, leave the affected area and contact emergency services from a safe location.
Do not perform unsafe electrical work, bypass protective devices, or connect a generator in a way that can backfeed utility wiring.
We may postpone or stop work when access, equipment, site conditions, or other circumstances prevent safe performance.
7. Payments and Square
We use Square for payment processing and, when offered, recurring membership billing. Use the approved payment process rather than sending payment-card details through ordinary website forms or email.
Applicable prices, taxes, payment timing, recurring charges, and transaction-specific terms must be presented before you authorize the payment.
Refunds, deposits, and cancellation charges are governed by the accepted transaction terms and applicable law. Contact us about billing errors, disputed service charges, or refund questions.
Square’s applicable terms and privacy notices govern its services. Our use of Square does not replace Terrell Electric’s responsibilities under the accepted service or membership agreement.
Recurring memberships
8. HomeCare membership terms
HomeCare memberships are offered for one accepted residential address within our service area. Review the plan description and enrollment disclosures before authorizing recurring billing.
| Plan | Monthly price | Eligible repair-labor discount | Included scheduled visit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $5 | 5% | No annual visit included. |
| HomeCare Plus | $10 | 7.5% | Alarm-servicing labor for up to six accessible smoke/CO alarms after each 12 paid membership months. |
| HomeCare Premier | $15 | 10% | One defined-scope electrical safety inspection and servicing labor for up to ten accessible smoke/CO alarms, combined in one visit after each 12 paid membership months. |
Recurring billing
Memberships renew monthly until canceled. The selected amount, any applicable tax, initial charge, renewal timing, and cancellation method are disclosed during enrollment. Recurring charges require your authorization.
After-hours labor-rate protection
After 30 days of continuous paid membership, eligible service labor is billed at our then-current normal business-hour labor rate, regardless of whether service is performed during an evening, weekend, or holiday.
No overtime or after-hours labor-rate multiplier applies once eligible. The plan’s eligible repair-labor discount applies to that standard rate. This benefit does not freeze the underlying standard rate or guarantee service availability.
Any applicable minimum-service or travel charge is disclosed before dispatch. Materials and other excluded charges remain separately payable.
Discount exclusions
Discounts apply to eligible repair labor, not the entire invoice. They do not apply to membership fees, materials, equipment, permits, utility charges, subcontracted work, travel charges, minimum-service charges, or previously contracted projects. Discounts do not combine with other offers.
Included visits
Plus and Premier members become eligible for the first included visit after 12 paid membership months and for another visit after each subsequent 12 paid months. Included visits occur during normal business hours, subject to scheduling and safe access.
An earned visit must be requested within the following 12 months while membership remains active. Unused visits do not accumulate, transfer, or have cash value. Unused eligibility ends when a canceled membership’s paid period ends.
Alarm service and inspection boundaries
Included alarm servicing covers the published servicing labor and unit count. Batteries, replacement alarms, additional units, wiring changes, specialized access, and corrective work require separate approval and payment.
The Premier inspection is a defined-scope visual maintenance inspection. It is not a municipal inspection, comprehensive code certification, warranty against failures, or guarantee that concealed wiring is free of defects.
The published scope excludes panel-cover removal, energized internal testing, destructive investigation, unlimited troubleshooting, and repairs. Professional visits do not replace routine homeowner alarm testing and manufacturer instructions.
Cancellation
You may request cancellation through our Contact page or by replying to a membership-related company email. Identify your request as “HomeCare Cancellation.”
A cancellation request received before the next renewal stops that renewal and future recurring charges. Benefits continue through the paid billing period. There is no cancellation fee. Paid monthly fees are not refunded except where required by law or otherwise agreed.
If your Square enrollment provides a self-service cancellation option, you may use that option as well.
Plan changes and interrupted payments
Changes of tier, interrupted payments, and reinstatement require confirmation of the applicable waiting periods and annual-visit eligibility before additional benefits are used.
Membership benefits do not apply retroactively to existing service calls or previously accepted work. Membership is not insurance or an equipment-replacement warranty.
Review HomeCare Plans9. Communications and preferences
Providing contact information allows us to respond to your inquiry and communicate about requested services or an application. It does not by itself enroll you in promotional email or text messages.
Promotional communications and any separate consent choices are described in our Privacy Notice and the relevant enrollment process.
Opting out of promotional messages does not itself cancel an appointment, project, payment obligation, or membership.
10. Career inquiries and applications
A career inquiry or employment application does not create an employment relationship or guarantee a vacancy, interview, offer, apprenticeship, training placement, or particular compensation or benefits.
Provide accurate job-related information. Our initial application does not request criminal history and is not authorization for background screening.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, banking information, identity documents, medical information, or criminal-history details through the initial application.
For application assistance or an application-process accommodation, use our Contact page.
11. Privacy and outside services
Our Privacy Notice describes information handling associated with the website, forms, planning tools, and available services.
External services and linked websites are operated by their respective providers. Their services, availability, terms, and privacy practices are separate from ours.
Product references, including Generac and Skystream, identify relevant equipment. A brand reference alone does not establish manufacturer endorsement, certification, or authorized-dealer status.
12. Website content and availability
Website content, tools, and service descriptions may be updated or temporarily unavailable. Verify material details with us before relying on them for a project or purchase.
Do not reproduce protected website content, photographs, logos, or designs for commercial use without permission or another lawful basis. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable licenses.
Nothing on this page excludes obligations under an accepted agreement or removes consumer rights, warranties, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes and questions
The effective date identifies the current published version of these website terms. Future website updates do not automatically change an existing project agreement, warranty, or subscription agreement.
Changes to an existing agreement require the notice, consent, or other process applicable to that agreement and the law.
Contact us about questions, billing concerns, membership cancellations, or disagreements so the matter can be reviewed. Nothing here requires you to give up a legally available complaint or remedy.
